Police seek Florida man

1 min read

State police have issued an arrest warrant for the arrest of a Florida man accused of allegedly assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Police said during the course of an arrest, Alexander T. Lowell, 22, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., allegedly got into a fight where he shoved Trooper Ryan Burns into a kitchen cabinet. Police said Burns sustained knee injuries that would require surgery.

According to the criminal complaint, the incident happened around 4 p.m. on Dec. 7 within a condo at Nemocolin Woodlands Resort in Wharton Township.

The complaint said Lowell was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Police said Lowell allegedly smelled of alcohol and that he allegedly actively resisted arrest, so a Taser was deployed.

The complaint said Lowell allegedly had a small plastic bag that contained a white substance that would be sent for testing at a police lab.
