Brownsville girls take Section 6-AA triangular
Brownsville 98, Charleroi 30; Brownsville 74, Frazier 54 — Led by the Seto sisters in the field events, the Lady Falcons swept a Section 6-AA triangular Thursday at Charleroi.
Maris Seto won the high jump (4-8), long jump (15-2), and triple jump (35-8). Alie Seto finished first in the discus (88-8) and was second in the high jump (4-6).
The Lady Falcons’ Whitney Ptak had a strong meet, finishing first overall in the 100 (13.30) and 300 intermediate hurdles (49.72). She also anchored the victorious 1,600 relay. Kara Rohlf won the 1,600 (6:26) and 3,200 (14:13). Justine Brown beat the field in the javelin (84-6)
The Lady Commodores’ Cassidy Guiser won the 200 (28.09) and 400 (1:04.57), and finished second to Ptak in the 100 (13:34). Lauren Timko edged the Lady Falcons’ Jenna Shumar to win the 100 high hurdles. Frazier’s Courtney Protos just beat Brownsville’s Sarah Ondra in the 800.
Frazier’s Ashley Lutska took first overall in the shot put (25-0).
