MENALLEN TWP.

Man charged

State police said Tyler James Hager, 21, of New Salem was charged with simple assault, unauthorized use of a vehicle and harassment after he allegedly drove an unidentified 52-year-old man’s car away from his Grant Street residence. Police said Hager returned to the location about five hours later and physically assaulted the man about 7 p.m. Monday.

FRANKLIN TWP.

Driver charged

State police said Robert Devon Marmie, 45, of Perryopolis was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to carry his license, careless driving and other related traffic violations after being stopped on Route 51 shortly before 11 p.m. July 5.

NORTH UNION TWP.

Man charged

John Evans, 70, of Uniontown was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly went to Jim Shorkey KIA on Route 51 and proceeded to yell and curse at his tenant at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to state police.

GERMAN TWP.

Driver charged

State police said Joseph T. Hainzer, 28, of Carmichaels was charged with providing false information to police and a traffic stop was initiated on March 21. No further information was available.

NORTH UNION TWP.

Theft reported

State police said a rental unit customer at the 25 W. Kerr St. storage building reported that tools and vehicle parts were removed from his unit sometime between Friday and Wednesday.

MENALLEN TWP.

Accident reported

State police said Robert E. Newman Jr., 18, of Uniontown was charged with careless driving after losing control of his vehicle and rolling it several times on Kaider Road at 5:45 p.m. July 23. Police said Newman was treated for minor injuries at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

HENRY CLAY TWP.

Theft reported

Property owners reported that items were stolen from a vacant Bruceton Road location sometime between July 22 and July 29, state police said.

SPRINGFIELD TWP.

Accident reported

State police said Laura L. Steyer, 23, of Mill Run suffered minor injuries after the vehicle she was driving struck a utility pole on Indian Creek Valley Road at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Police said Steyer was taken to Excela Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant for treatment.
