Man charged
Uniontown police said Adan Rivera Pedraza, 26, of Uniontown was charged with attempted criminal burglary, simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he tried to break in to Donald Derryberry’s house Thursday on Byrer Avenue. Police said as Pedraza was trying to break in, Derryberry threatened to shoot him. After a scuffle on the front porch, Derryberry was able to subdue Pedraza and hold him at gunpoint until police arrived, police said.

Barry Ware of Uniontown reported that someone stole the copper pipes from the house he was working on Wednesday at Nassau Street, Uniontown police said.

Uniontown police said James Sigafoose of South Mount Vernon Avenue reported that his motor bike was stolen Monday from his property.

Vehicle burglarized
Elizabeth Dauria reported that someone stole a $70 GPS, a blanket, knife and $3 in loose change from her car Tuesday while it was parked on West Peter Street, Uniontown police said.

Sara Nicklow of Millview Street reported that someone threw a rock on Tuesday through her home’s front window, Uniontown police said.

Crash reported
State police said vehicles driven by James Litton of Aleppo and Louis Augustine of Uniontown collided Tuesday on Golden Oaks Road in Greene County. Police said Litton sustained injuries and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
