Man cited
Masontown police said Nick Vernon, 48, of Shoaf was cited for public drunkenness after he was reported staggering and knocking on doors around 3:30 p.m. Thursday on South Washington Street.

Resident subdued
Masontown police responded to a report of a resident out of control around 11 a.m. to Fayette Resources on North Main Street. Police said the patient was taken into custody and turned over to mental health workers. The person’s name was not provided to the media.

Tools stolen
Uniontown police said someone stole $4 in loose change from vehicles, $40 from in cash, a circular straw and a screwdriver on Sunday from Fayette County Weatherization on John Street.

Woman robbed
Uniontown police said Kimberly Cobb, a manager at Family Dollar, reports that she was robbed around 9:41 p.m. Sunday in the store’s parking lot on North Gallatin Avenue. Police said the man took her purse which contained bank and credit cards. Police describe the suspect as a black male, between 5-foot 8-inches and 5-foot 10-inches tall, average build, who was wearing black pants and shirt, as well as a black hoodie.
