Noah Brown poured in a game-high 23 points as Brownsville overcame a slow start to knock off host West Greene, 66-48, in a non-section boys basketball game on Monday night.

Marcellous Grooms added 13 points, including a 3-pointer, for the Falcons (4-1).

The Pioneers surged to an 11-6 lead in the first period before Brownsville, taking advantage of foul trouble to West Greene’s Kolten Rush and Craig Weaver, roared back with a 20-8 advantage in the second frame to go up 26-19 at intermission.

The Falcons used their depth to wear down West Greene (1-4) in the second half, out-scoring the hosts 24-11 in the third period to take control.

Weaver led the Pioneers with 19 points and Rush contributed 11.
