Cow attacks
Fayette County 911 said a cow attacked a 55-year-old woman around 11:56 a.m. Thursday at a farm along Dawson/Scottdale Road. Fayette 911 said the woman was bleeding from the head, so she was taken via medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital. The woman’s name nor her health status have been released to the media.

Man charged
State police said Derek Scott Beneke, 23, of Dickerson Run was charged with forgery after he stole a check from his father, Scott Beneke, on Oct. 24 from a residence on Main Street. Police said Beneke wrote the check for $100 forged the family member’s name and cashed it.
SOUTH UNION TWP.
Man charged
State police said Richard A. McGee, 28, of Uniontown was charged with possession of marijuana and several traffic offenses after a traffic stop at 1 a.m. Thursday on Duck Hollow Road. Police said a 2-year-old passenger was found to be improperly secured in a car seat and McGee’s license was under suspension because of driving under the influence conviction.

Ring found
State police said someone found a ring between March and April in the Sheetz parking lot located along Route 51. Anyone who believes the ring belongs to them, and can properly describe the ring, should contact police at 724-439-7111.

Theft reported
State police said Christopher Aaron Fisher, 24, of Uniontown was charged with theft after he stole a cellphone Dec. 12 from the security desk at the Chesnut Ridge Mental Health Facility that belonged to Ronald Smith of Fairchance.
