UNIONTOWN

Woman injured

Uniontown police said Angela Knabenshue, no age listed, sustained injuries to her head and her nose after she said she was jumped by two men on Connellsville Street early Thursday morning. Fayette County EMS transported her to Uniontown Hospital.

Burglary reported

Janis McGee, no age listed, of 128 E. Askren St. reported her flat screen television, PlayStation 3 and nine video games were stolen from her residence Wednesday evening, Uniontown police said.

BELLE VERNON

Crash reported

Southwest Regional Police said no one was seriously injured Tuesday after a two-car collision where one of the vehicles hit a building at 401 Main St. Police said the vehicle driven by Kurt Sonafelt of Belle Vernon crashed into the building. Police said Sonafelt’s passenger, Joseph Bondi Jr., was taken to Mon Valley Hospital for examination, while his other passenger, Penny Nichols, was not injured. Police said the other driver, Donald Murphy of Belle Vernon, was not injured from the collision.

Violations reported

State Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement alleged that the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 828 of West Main Street possessed or operated gambling devices or paraphernalia, permitted gambling or lotteries, pool-selling and/or bookmaking on the premises on Aug. 29.

State police said Kayla Shaffer, 18, of Connellsville was uninjured when her car slid and hit two guardrails on Charles Houck Road Tuesday afternoon.

Man cited

Shane Detore, 43, of Mill Run was charged with public drunkenness after allegedly being in an intoxicated state at a restaurant on Wednesday afternoon, state police said.

DUNKARD TWP.

Man charged

State police said Joshua Lewellen, 25, of Mount Morris was charged with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched Danielle Ellis, no age listed, also of Mount Morris, in the arms several times in Greene County.
