Justin Bogden

Navy Seaman Recruit Justin A. Bogden, a son of David R. Bogden and grandson of Edward and Danielle Bogden of Rices Landing, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

During the eight-week program, Bogden completed a variety of training that included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness.

Bogden is a 2013 graduate of Carmichaels Area Junior/Senior High School. He is currently stationed in San Antonio, Texas.

Upon completion of school, Bogden will serve as a navy corpsman.
