Checks forged
Michelle Marie Murray, 39, of Uniontown was charged with felony forgery and theft charges for allegedly forging 16 checks, totaling $5,625, from the bank account of Leonard Glenn Williams of Uniontown between July 8, 2013, and April 24 this year, state police said. Murray was arraigned Monday and committed to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $10,000 percentage bond.

Rafting boats stolen
State police said they are investigating the theft of white water rafting boats owned by Wilderness Voyagers. The red rafts, which have the company’s name along the sides, were stolen from a vehicle on Garrett Street between Oct. 1, 2013 and June 16 this year, police said.

Wheels, tires stolen
The wheels and tires were stolen from a vehicle at Fike Chevrolet on McClellandtown Road between June 14-16, state police said. Police ask anyone with information about the theft to call the station at 724-439-7111.

Thefts from vehicles
State police said property was stolen from two unlocked vehicles on June 15 or 16. Police said $35 was was stolen from Amillio Gallo’s car and a grass trimmer and a a blue tricycle was stolen from his driveway between 6:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. June 16. A Verizon car charger and black sunglasses were stolen from Duane J. Prinkey’s vehicle at his home on Mickey Street in Mount Pleasant between 11 p.m. June 15 and 10 a.m. June 16, police said.
