Battery stolen
Someone stole a battery from an all-terrain vehicle owned by Charles Edward Shroyer while it sat for sale in the yard of his home on Main Street between 2-7 p.m. Sunday, state police said.

State police said someone kicked in the back door of the First Baptist Church of Lambert and entered the building between April 24 and May 3.

Warrant served
Uniontown police served an arrest warrant to Charles Aaron Smith Jr., 59, of Uniontown on Monday while he was at the City Mission on East Fayette Street. According to court documents, Smith is charged with failure to comply with the requirements for registering as a sex offender. He was taken to Fayette County Prison.

Twyla Gauden of Uniontown reported Monday that someone threw a rock that damaged her vehicle’s rear windshield while she was traveling on Wayne Street, Uniontown police said.

Southwest Regional Police said Holly Lyn Nicklow, 20, of Point Marion was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude police after a traffic stop of an all-terrain vehicle Friday on Stella Street.

Southwest Regional Police said Jonathan Lee Strosnider, 26, of Lake Lynn was charged with retail theft following an incident April 14 at the Point Marion Hardware and Appliance Store.
