Casey Karwatske
Casey Karwatske of Uniontown has been selected to participate in the C-MITES summer program for academically talented students.
A son of Ted and April Karwatske, he will attend the science potpourri class at Winchester Thurston Lower School in July.
Karwatske is a first-grade student at Hatfield Elementary School in the Laurel Highlands School District.
C-MITES (Carnegie Mellon Institute for Talented Elementary and Secondary Students) provides challenging courses for gifted students at a variety of sites throughout Pennsylvania.
