Interstate Conference team announced

Southmoreland’s Jake Beistel (offensive line), Jake Pisula (defensive back) and Chaz King (linebacker), Waynesburg Central’s Hunter Cenname (defensive back) and Sam Augustine (defensive line), and Brownsville’s Devin Braddock (defensive back) headlined local players who earned first-team honors on the Interstate Conference All-Star team.

The first-team offensive unit included Washington’s Khalid Blount (offensive line), Malik Wells (running back), Dequay Isbell (Washington), and Nate Swart (tight end), Burgettstown’s Jim Reedy (offensive line), Mount Pleasant’s Josh Lind (offensive line), Trevor Salopek (kick), and LJ Sutton (wide receiver), Charleroi’s Jake Lemmon (offensive line), and McGuffey’s Nate Whipkey (quarterback) and James Duchi (running back).

The defensive first team included Washington’s Zach Blystone (defensive line), Jordan West (defensive back), and Thomas Cherry (defensive line), McGuffey’s Ryan Stienstraw (defensive line), Marcus Czulewicz (punter), and Steven Clemens (linebacker), Derry’s TJ Balega (linebacker), and Burgettstown’s Jake McKee (linebacker).

Also earning all-conference honors were: Mount Pleasant — Jaylon Ansell, Ethan Charlesworth, Adam Golkosky, Jonah Long, Paul Barr and Zach Bendar; Brownsville — Byron Mayers; Waynesburg Central — John Glen Davis, Dom Sarra, Colin McCracken and Jacob Tretinik; and Southmoreland — Tommy Pisula and Doug Leighty.
