Denny RAs help girls learn to ‘love their flaws’
Becky Hotek, a senior athletic trainer major, and freshman Kendall Kuykendall also helped Torre and Madison with the book study.
Peer Education is a group on campus said to answer to anyone’s needs.
Peer Education sponsors their own programs. They will also be at the upcoming health fair.
The icebreaker was to get a partner who you did not know and sit back to back with them.
Hotek then proceeded to show the listener a simple picture and they had to explain to their partner what to draw.
The event called for journals, so every girl had either their journal or just a piece of paper. This was for when the girls had to draw a heart and put three horizontal lines in it. On the lines, they had to write down three words that described them or told a story.
“It turned out really well,” said Remish.
The purpose of the event was to teach girls to love their flaws. The girls discussed many topics while enjoying coffee or tea and writing or drawing in their journals. There was a second session on April 1, also held in Denny Lounge.
