Falcons 10-run Bulldogs, 13-3
Brownsville allowed only one hit in defeating Beth-Center, 13-3, in Friday’s Section 2-AA game at Brownsville.
The game was called after six innings due to the 10-run rule.
The Falcons’ Greg Stiner came in relief to earn the win. He allowed one hit in four-plus innings of work. He had six strikeouts, two walks and hit one batter.
Brownsville scored six runs in the first and four in the fourth and one run in the second, fifth and sixth innings.
The Falcons’ Shane Roebuck added a solo home run in the second. Teammate Kenny Ryan was three-for-four with a double and an RBI single.
Brownsville’s Cory Lent had two singles and three RBIs, while teammate Ricky Barry was 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
Jake Greco had a two-run single in the second for the Bulldogs’ only hit. B-C scored all three of its runs in the second.
