The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Nicholas Harvey of Perryopolis, a junior at Frazier High School, as a student of the month for March.

A son of Renee and Paul Harvey, he plans to attend Penn State to major in mechanical engineering with the career goal of becoming a mechanical engineer.

Harvey is a member of the Boy Scouts and participates in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. He is involved in extracurricular activities at Frazier, including football, basketball, track, student government, robotics club, ski club and Interact Club.

Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and citizenship, students of the month are honored by the chamber’s education council. They were presented a recognition certificate at the students of the month dinner in April.
