Former Uniontown attorney overdoses, faces parole revocation

A disbarred Uniontown attorney who pleaded guilty to slipping drugs to a client in police custody in 2013 faces a parole revocation hearing after he allegedly overdosed on heroin in Westmoreland County recently.
Brian Salisbury, 36, of Brownsville, was found unresponsive in a Rite Aid parking lot on Aug. 16, and was revived by emergency personnel using Narcan, according to court documents.
Monessen police said Salisbury had a black sock with two hypodermic needles, a spoon with heavy residue, a lighter and five empty stamp bags labeled “Made in Columbia” in his car.
Salisbury faces single count of possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with that case.
Last year, Salisbury, represented by attorney Jeremy Davis, pleaded guilty in Fayette County Court to drug possession and delivery.
He admitted to slipping three packets containing heroin, a mixture of heroin and clonazepam and suboxone strips under the cell door of his client, Aaron Yauger, at the Uniontown Booking Center on July 25, 2013, after Yauger was picked up on a bench warrant.
In May 2014, Salisbury was sentenced to 11 ½ to 23 months in jail, followed by two years of probation.
Senior Judge Gerald R. Solomon granted Salisbury immediate parole, into the supervision of Next Step Recovery Housing. Court documents state he was discharged from Next Step on May 6.
Last year, the state Supreme Court entered an order accepting Salisbury’s voluntary disbarment from the practice of law. Salisbury agreed to stop practicing law in April 2014, when he pleaded guilty in the case.
A date for Salisbury’s revocation hearing has not been set.
