Indian Head man charged in several burglaries
A 36-year-old man was charged Monday for his role in several burglaries in the Indian Head area.
Police said Matthew Thomas Lowe allegedly broke into Dipaola Quality Climate Control in Champion on May 15 and stole $48,179.07 worth of items.
Police said Lowe then met up with a 43-year-old Acme man to sort out the items to later sell in Pittsburgh. Lowe was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy to receive stolen property.
Lowe was also charged for his alleged role in four camper burglaries in April. Police said Lowe and Kenneth Michael Zeiler, 24, of Melcroft, allegedly broke into the campers at the Mountain Pines campground and stole various electronic items.
Lowe and Zeiler face charges including four counts of burglary, four counts of criminal trespass, four counts of theft by unlawful taking and four counts of receiving stolen property. They were also cited with two counts of criminal mischief.
