Jarod Beaumariage

The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Jarod Beaumariage of Fairchance, a junior at Albert Gallatin High School, as a student of the month for October.

A son of William and Cynthia Beaumariage, he plans to attend Carnegie Mellon University or Penn State University to study computer engineering with the career goal of becoming a computer engineer.

Beaumariage has received the American Legion School Award and placed first in “Introduction to Information Technology” in the Future Business Leaders of America regional competition.

Beaumariage is active in extracurricular activities at Albert Gallatin, including cross country, track, Interact Club, ski club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, math team, Future Business Leaders of America, anti-bullying club, The Future Is Mine Club and the National Honor Society.

Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and citizenship, students of the month are honored by the chamber’s education council. They will be presented a recognition certificate at the students of the month dinner in April.
