Two Fayette County establishments have been cited by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for gambling violations.

The citations were issued Friday against Connellsville Moose 16, 109 Apple St., Connellsville and T. Baer Inc., 105 Axton Ave., Washington Township. The Washington Township violation allegedly occurred Aug. 12, while the Connellsville infractions allegedly occurred Oct. 12. In both instances the establishments reportedly possessed or operated gambling devices or paraphernalia, or permitted gambling or lotteries or bookmaking on the premises where there is a liquor license.

The charges will be taken before an administrative law judge who may impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.

The establishments could also face suspension or revocation of their liquor licenses or mandatory training for the licensees.
