Cynthia Shroyer Applause

The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Cynthia Shroyer of Lemont Furnace, a junior at Fayette County Career and Technical Institute, as a student of the month for November.

A daughter of Georgina Hough and Howard Hough Jr., she plans to further her education at Penn State by studying nursing with the career goal of becoming a registered nurse.

Shroyer is on the honor roll at Laurel Highlands High School and receives high honors at Fayette CTI.

She is a color guard at Laurel Highlands and a member of the Future Health Professionals Club.

Shroyer has work experience at Eat ‘n Park.

Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and citizenship, students of the month are honored by the chamber’s education council. They will be presented a recognition certificate at the students of the month dinner in April.
