REDSTONE TWP.

Fire reported

Fayette County 911 said no one was injured in a fire reported around 9:18 a.m. Saturday on Second Street in Fairbanks. Republic Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by New Salem, Footedale and South Brownsville volunteer fire departments who fought the blaze for about two hours. The house was total loss. The state police fire marshal is investigating.

Identity theft

State police said Kyle Ray McBride of Chalk Hill reports that someone opened a cellphone account using his Social Security number information on Feb. 23.

Crash reported

State police said no one was injured when vehicles driven by Suresh Madireddy of Troy and Roy Gibbon of Masontown collided Jan. 3 on National Pike near Laurel Road.

Crash reported

State police said Michael Ozoroski of Connellsville sustained moderate injuries after his vehicle crashed into a utility pole Feb. 22 on Narrows Road.

Theft

State police said Raymond Ansell of Grindstone reported that someone stole his handgun from a vehicle on Sunday in the parking lot at Walt’s Bar. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 724-439-7111.

Man charged

State police said James Nastasi Jr., 54, of Smithfield was charged with simple assault and harassment after an incident March 9 at a residence on Puritan Village Road.

Runaway

State police said Kobie McKnight, 15, of Lemont Furnace was last seen March 4 wearing a black winter jacket, hooded sweatshirt, jeans, as well as red and white Nike Jordan shoes. The boy has a cross tatooed on his left forearm. He is 5-feet 5-inches tall, weighs about 130 pounds and has blue eyes. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 724-439-7111.

Man charged

State police said Desmond Williams, 49, of McClellandtown was charged with driving under the influence and multiple traffic violations Feb. 10 after a traffic stop on Route 119 and Bute Road.

POINT MARION

Crash reported

State police said Sandra Jenkins of Lake Lynn was not injured when her vehicle was sideswiped by an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene, on Friday on Morgantown Street near Camp Run Park Road.
