Why is the paper and website green?
Each year, millions of Americans face the realities of living their lives with a mental health condition, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
A national survey conducted last year revealed that the number of cases of adult mental illness is becoming more alarming, as those adults struggle with not only mental and behavior challenges, but physical problems as well.
In observance of Mental Health Month, the Herald-Standard is helping to raise awareness about behavioral health issues by making the newspaper and website green, the color associated with the campaign to bring funding and research to the cause.
