Koroly rejoins Jackets
In his freshman season in 2013-14, Christian Koroly played all 28 games for the Jackets coming off the bench.
He averaged 6.6 points per game, shooting 46.5 percent from the field and 49.4 percent from behind the arc.
The guard finished second in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference in 3-point percentage, only .6 percent behind the first-place finisher, who took 19 fewer threes than Koroly.
Koroly said he decided for the “best interest” of himself to not return to the team last season. Koroly is back on the roster this season, though, as the now junior guard said he missed the game and “had the opportunity to come back and took advantage of it.”
“I’m taking it one day at a time and enjoying everybody and being around the guys and being around the game again,” Koroly said.
Head coach Mark Christner said the team is happy to have Koroly back on the team, but his role on the team has not been determined yet.
“You just don’t know what goes on in the lives of guys. We’d like to all know. Everything was his decision. I think he’s got some work to do, and we’re optimistic that later on in the year that he’ll help us,” Christner said. “There are some things he has to do in terms of justbeing around, learning and learning about this group.”
