CHEESE BREAD

1 cake yeast

¼ cup warm water

2 tbsp. butter

1 tbsp. sugar

1 tsp. salt

¾ cup scalded milk (cooled)

2¼ cup flour

Pam spray

1 egg

5 tbsp. milk

¾ tsp. onion (grated)

¼ tsp. salt

2½ cups yellow American cheese (grated)

1½ tsp. caraway seed

Take yeast and dissolve in water. Add butter, sugar, salt and milk. Blend in dissolved yeast. Add flour and mix well. Knead dough on lightly floured board for 3 minutes. Place in pans. Spray bowl. Cover with towel and put in warm place until raised (1½ hours). Then spray Pam on 9″X2″X13″ pan. Let raise (one hour). Combine egg, 5 tbsp. milk, grated onions and salt. Mix together with cheese and spread over top of dough. Spring with caraway seed. Bake in hot oven – 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
