Resisting alleged
Charleroi police early Wednesday charged Shawn Patterson, 32, of 1109 Lower Crest Ave., with resisting arrest after he began to run from them as they attempted to pick him up on a warrant. Patterson was shot with a Taser after he jumped a fence into a side yard at 1010 Upper Crest Ave. and continued to struggle with police. Patterson was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital to have the Taser prongs removed before being taken to the Washington County Prison.

Woman charged
Carroll Township police cited Amy McIvor, 36, of New Eagle for retail theft after she allegedly taken Pittsburgh Steelers sweatshirt from the Giant Eagle on Country Club Road on Tuesday without paying for it.

Two arrested
Monessen police Monday arrested April Sepesy, 28, of 328 Manown St., Monessen, and Mathew Brian Greene, 37, of 433 Kenneth St., Donora, on outstanding warrants. The warrants were served Monday at 8:05 p.m. at Sepesy’s residence.

Warrant served
Monessen police arrested Dayna Marie Shuma, 43, of 1224 Reeves Ave., at Monongahela Valley Hospital Monday on an outstanding bench warrant. Shuma was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph Dalfonso and taken to the Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $2,500 cash bond.

False report alleged
Monessen police charged Taylor Rajeen Harrison, 25, who is listed as being homeless, with making a false report to police after they received a call Nov. 30 at 4:53 p.m. that a woman who had identified herself as Lisa Shrader had witnessed a man discharge gun and then saw a bloody woman lying in the street.
Police later learned that Harrison had made the call following a domestic dispute with Michael Pace, 23, of 215 Knox Ave. Upon being questioned by police, Harrison said she made the call and exaggerated the incident in order to speed up the response of the police. Harrison then asked to be taken to the emergency room, saying she was experiencing concussion-like symptoms. She later escaped from the hospital. Harrison is charged with making false reports.
