Two-vehicle accident

State police said injuries were reported when driver David Williams, 52, of Merrit Island hit a vehicle driven by Teresa Shawley, 57, of Mount Pleasant Nov. 29 at the intersection of State Route 981 and Mount Pleasant Road.

Tractor trailer accident

State police said driver Lester Jackson, 52, of Dallas, Texas was injured when the brakes failed on his tractor trailer on U.S. 40 and he drove into a runaway truck ramp at 3:15 a.m. Dec. 1. He was transported to Uniontown Hospital by Fayette EMS with suspected minor injuries.

Public drunkenness

George Rhome, 57, of Uniontown was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness after he allegedly urinated in Coal Lick Park Sunday.

Hit and run

Uniontown police are investigating a hit and run reported by Virginia McVey, who said someone hit her car while it was parked at the post office on West Peter Street Wednesday afternoon.

Two cited

California Borough police cited Halee Compton, 20, of Centerville, Va., and William Flagg Jr., 24, of Fairless Hills, Pa., for disorderly conduct following an argument in the 200 block of Wood Street Nov. 8 around 4:51 p.m.

CALIFORNIA

Warrant issued

An arrest warrant has been issued for Vincent Elcane Knight, 22, of Pascagoula, Ms., on charged of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possessing instruments of crime, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. Knight allegedly threatened several people in the area of California Terrace with a gun on Nov. 6 at 11:13 p.m.

Although Knight had a California address, police said he had been able to evade them and is now believed to have fled the state. A fugitive from justice warrant is being sought. Anyone with information on Knight’s whereabouts is asked to contact borough police through Washington County 911. Police said Knight is to be considered armed and dangerous.

FAYETTE COUNTY

Arrest warrant issued

State police have issued an arrest warrant for Christopher Ryan Thomas,35, of McClellandtown after he allegedly opened 21 unauthorized checking/credit accounts in the name of Shelly Thomas of Uniontown and a 7-year-old child in various locations throughout Fayette County between August 1 and December 1. Once he received the debit/atm cards he made several withdrawals from said accounts. Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Tpr. Nicholson at Uniontown State Police at 724-415-1011.
