Jefferson-Morgan girls top Monessen

Jefferson-Morgan used a strong second quarter en route to a 60-18 victory over Monessen in a Lady Trojans tournament consolation game on Wednesday.

The Lady Rockets led, 13-7, after the first, and used a 20-3 second to lead 33-10 at halftime. J-M held a 14-6 advantage in the third and 13-2 in the fourth.

The Lady Rockets’ Erin Confrontini led all scorers with 20 points. Teammates Katey Wolf and Megan Pejak added 12 and 10.

Madison Telegraphis led the Lady Greyhounds in scoring with eight.
