The NFL has suspended Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict for three games after his hit on Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown in their game Saturday. The league cited “repeated violations of safety-related playing rules” when handing down the penalty. What do you think of the penalty? Do you think he should should have been suspended for more games or should he not have been suspended at all? How “dirty” did you think the hit was?

“Repeated violations to me means more than a three-game suspension.”

“He should be permanently banned from the NFL. A three-game suspension is nothing to him.”

“Brady was to get four games for Deflategate. Ben got four games for nothing. Who will be responsible when Burfict cripples or kills a player? He is a repeat offender and has hurt other teams as well. He should be banned for life.”

“He’s a dirty player for sure. James Harrison had some similar hits but has cleaned his game up. Hopefully the suspension will be a wake up call for this guy.”

“I’m hoping Pittsburgh plays them two times in the first three weeks. This guy took three star players out of games this year. He may be responsible for us possibly losing in a Denver this Sunday.”

“That is nothing. The NFL is a joke league. It doesn’t care about the safety of players or fans. It’s all about the money.”

“He deserves it! He is a nasty player, who has doing this for years!”

“He should be banned. The way he hit Brown could have easily left him paralyzed if not dead. He’s a menace.”

“He intentionally tries to hurt opponents. This suspension is not enough. Something needs to be done about players who intentionally try, over and over again. to hurt other players. They should be suspended for a whole season. Maybe that will make him think.”

“He was not drafted. No one would pick him up. Cincy signed him because he was a talented player. He may be talented but he is a danger to the league.”

“The NFL is harder on players smoking a joint than it is a player trying to kill another player. I don’t get it.”

“He should be gone from football for good. He clearly is out to intentionally harm opponents. He could have paralyzed or killed Brown with that hit! The NFL needs to step up to the plate before somebody loses their life. No football game is worth that.”
