Prexies pull away from Falcons, 80-55

Markel Pulliam scored a game-high 29 points as Washington pulled away after a 21-21 first period to defeat host Brownsville, 80-55, in a non-section boys basketball game on Wednesday night.

The Prexies (11-5) surged to a 41-34 halftime lead, then out-scored the Falcons (11-4) 39-21 in the second half.

Noah Brown led Brownsville with 25 points and 12 rebounds. James Holcomb hit three 3-poiners in scoring 11 points.

Matt Popeck tallied 26 points for Washington and Nathan Swart chipped in with 11.
