Lady Rockets ride big third period to 60-31 win over stubborn Geibel

Jefferson-Morgan blew open a close game by out-scoring Geibel Catholic 19-2 in the third period and went on to defeat the Lady Gators, 60-31, in a Section 3-A girls basketball game on Thursday night.

The Lady Rockets (15-1, 10-0) led 22-15 after one period and only 28-25 at halftime before taking control after intermission,

J-M’s Kayla Yorko led all scorers with 18 points. Nikki Venick added 11 for the Lady Rockets.

Grace Nowicki paced Geibel (5-11, 4-7) with 14 points and Gillian Yourish added 11.
