There are some concerns that the media is devoting too much coverage to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. They claim that Trump is benefiting unfairly from the 24-7 coverage, noting that other candidates aren’t getting nearly the same amount of coverage. What do you think? Is there too much coverage of Trump out there? Or is the media just doing its job in covering such a controversial figure as Trump?
“How come the liberal left media doesn’t say anything negative about Hillary Clinton and how untrustworthy she is? They never say anything about how she lied to the families of the Bengazi attacks and blamed it on a video. Or how she takes money from Wall Street for speaking fees and then tries to deny it. Or when she called former KKK leader Robert Byrd her friend and mentor.”
“The media is the problem, including the Herald-Standard.”
“There is too much political coverage, period. It’s been going full steam for almost a year, and we still have nine months to go.”
“Just wait. Our primary is coming up. Those ads on TV will be insane.”
“It should be fun. I can’t wait to see them.”
“Something tells me I won’t be impressed.”
“The coverage is overblown. Every time you turn the TV on, Trump’s mouth is running about something.”
“I totally agree. It wouldn’t be so bad if he said anything that made sense.”
“The coverage has been very biased from an industry that’s not supposed to be biased. Shame on the media.”
“Any positive affects The Donald may experience will change to the negative if he becomes the GOP candidate. Don’t fool yourselves in believing the media is covering Trump out of newsworthy value. They are busy editing the Trump campaign to push the Democratic narrative. It will be anything to make Trump look bad.”
“Morning Joe upped his ratings by letting Trump call in every morning, thereby setting the daily political agenda for the candidates. Other media followed the Trump cash machine as their ratings rose. It was all about ‘The Benjamins,’ which Trump understood far better than the other candidates.”
“I couldn’t agree more. I see him in my eggs and ham in the morning.”
“Yes! He gets way too much coverage!”
“No participation trophies are given for running for president. You either want it or not.”
“Why not cover the next president? I don’t think it’s too much.”
“Yes, Trump has got an inordinate amount of coverage.”
“The old-time movie stars used to say, ‘Any press is better than no press.’ My mama always says, ‘Names of fools are like their faces, always seen in public places!”‘ Trump must believe that money will buy you everything.”
