Clark controls Greyhounds for JM

1 min read

Jefferson-Morgan 5, Monessen 1 – Gage Clark struck out 11 batters and walked only one to lead Jefferson-Morgan to a 5-1 non-section baseball win over Monessen.

He kept the Greyhounds in check offensively and allowed only one run on three hits.

“His control was great, his curveball worked well,” said JM coach John Curtis. “He even covered first a couple of times on balls hit in the hole, so he played a complete game. And his pitch count (77) was very low for seven innings.”

David Blaker’s double was the only extra base hit of the game, which was the first of the season for both teams. JM travels to Avella Thursday, before hosting Brownsville Friday.
