Kassie Miller Applause
The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce recently honored, Kassie Miller of Smithfield, a junior at Albert Gallatin High School, as a student of the month for March.
A daughter of Jeff and Bobbi Jo Miller, she plans to attend Waynesburg University or Penn State University, majoring in business with the career goal of successfully helping with the family business, Miller’s Greenhouse and Flower Shop.
Miller is on the softball team and in the National Honor Society at Albert Gallatin.
She is a member of the Penn State Fayette and United Bank 4.0 Clubs.
Her community involvement includes coaching youth basketball and volunteering at her church, Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Smithfield.
Miller has work experience at her family’s business and babysitting.
Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and citizenship, students of the month are honored by the chamber’s Education Council and will be presented a recognition certificate at the students of the month dinner in April.
