College plans: Hoping to attend University of Chicago to major in English with an emphasis on writing, while minoring in biochemistry.
Favorite subject, teacher: AP English. I have many favorite teachers for many different reasons. Laurel Highlands has a myriad of amazing teachers.

Most memorable sports moments: I have two. As a sophomore, I broke 21 minutes, earning a new personal record. This year, I ran my last race at the WPIAL finals. It was bittersweet, for I realized with sadness that my high school cross country days were over despite being ready to move on to the next stage in my life.
Favorite food: Pulled pork.
Least favorite cafeteria food: Stuffed crust pizza.
Most recent book read: The Divine Comedy, by Dante; Les Miserables, and A Song of Ice and Fire: A Storm of Swords.
All-time favorite movie: The Star Wars saga.
On my iPod: Of Monsters and Men, Lorde and classical music.
Most admired professional athlete: Sydney Crosby, for being so young and successful, he has remained humble about his achievements.
Greatest influence on you as an athlete: Coach (Bob) Costello. He has been extremely supportive of my activities and academics, always encouraging me to pursue my other interests. Former teammates Melissa McCann, Emily and Ann Rice, Marissa Deichart and Audrey Kopich because they were able to manage AP classes alongside athletics and other activities. It is very difficult and challenging to balance a workload of six AP classes, so whenever I begin to feel overwhelmed, I always think back to their success and it gives me encouragement to persevere.
In 10 years, I will be: Hopefully, completing my residency in forensic pathology or radiology.
If I were President of the United States for one day, I would: Read the President’s Book of Secrets (if it exists).
