Juveniles cited
Two girls, ages 14 and 15, are being cited by the California Borough School Resource Officer for harassment by physical contact after an incident Nov. 15 at 10:55 a.m. The two girls were allegedly fighting in the hallway at California Are High School.

Drug possession alleged
California police charged John H. Mitchell, 45, of LaBelle and Gary Veatch, 49, of Brownsville, with possession of marijuana. The two were in a vehicle stopped for not having its lights on Nov. 18 at 7:44 p.m. A small amount of marijuana was confiscated from the vehicle.

DUI alleged
Nathan Karpinski, 21, of Oakmont, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop by California police Nov. 20 at 1:45 a.m. Karpinski had been stopped for an equipment violation when police noticed he had been drinking. Karpinski failed several field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test to determine his blood alcohol level.

Pole damaged
California University of Pennsylvania police are investigating a case of criminal mischief in which a light pole near the Kara Alumni House was knocked over. The incident was discovered Nov. 11 at 1:44 a.m.

Criminal mischief
Police said a Monongahela resident reported an unknown person(s) damaged their cellphone in the men’s locker room at HotShots Indoor Sports Arena in East Huntingdon Township Nov. 13. Police ask anyone with information to contact state police in Greensburg.

Retail theft
Police charged Rebecca McCune, 24, of Everson Borough with retail theft after she allegedly removed $130 and two NYX cosmetics lipsticks valued at $12 from Peebles department store in East Huntingdon Township on Oct. 26.

Theft
Police are investigating a report made by a Scottdale resident of an unknown person(s) that removed a Pennsylvania Electronic Benefit Transfer access card and a bottle of Neurontin from their residence sometime betweeen Nov. 1 and Nov. 8.

Possession of weapon
A 16-year-old student at Hempfield High School was found to have a knife on school property on Nov. 18, according to state police.

Criminal trespassing
Police charged a 34-year-old male of Jeanette with theft of secondary metal and criminal trespassing after an incident on Delmont Road in Hempfield Township October 27.

One-vehicle accident
Police reported a one-vehicle accident took place in Hempfield Township when driver Edward Barry, 60, of Greensburg was driving on White Roack Road and left the roadway and struck the end of a guide rail Nov. 20. No injuries were reported.

One-vehicle accident
Driver William Shearer, 63, of Greensburg was involved in an accident when he attempted to make a left turn onto Slate Run Road and hit a patch of ice and slid into a guide rail on Old Route 30 in Hempfield Township Nov. 20.

Escape charges
Police charged Tatiyona Hilliary, 19, of Pittsburgh with escape from legal detention at District Court 10-2-01 on Nov. 18.

Fence damaged
Police are investigating an incident in which Hempfield Township resident reported someone damaged a fence on Hempfield Drive sometime between Oct. 11 and Nov. 16.

Criminal mischief
An Acme resident reported unknown person(s) vandalized a vehicle slashing its four tires and smashing windows while parked at Easy Living Country Estates in Hempfield Township sometime between Nov. 3 and 4, according to police. Harassment
Police cited a 35-year-old woman of Vandergrift for harrassment after she attempted to gain access to a Mount Pleasant man’s e-mail and other online profiles between Nov. 16 and 21.

Theft from vehicle
Police said a Mount Pleasant Township resident reported an unknown person(s) removed a wallet and a knife from their unlocked vehicle sometime between Nov. 17 and 18. Police ask anyone with information to contact Greensburg State Police at 724-832-3288.

Retail theft
Police said two people entered a Wine and Spirit’s store in South Union Township and stole a bottle of South Comfort and fled in an unknown manner. Police described the suspects as a black male wearing a green long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a white hat and a white female wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and a pink hat.
