Lady Falcons remain perfect in Section 3-AA

Brownsville’s girls cross country team successfully defended its perfect record in Section 3-AA action with victories over Fort Cherry, Burgettstown and Chartiers-Houston while the boys team edged Burgettstown, but lost to Chartiers-Houston and Fort Cherry on Tuesday at Burgettstown.

The Lady Falcons’ Gionna Quarzo won the race in 20:09, while teammates Sara Vance (21:25), Jessica Vance (21:49) and Hannah Dewitt (23:03) came in second third and fourth. Brownsville’s Rae’ven Walker (23:21) was sixth and Alie Seto (26:06) took eighth for six finishers in the top 10.

The Lady Falcons’ Blake DeCarlo, 11th, 28:16, Abby Daughn, 12th, 28:25, Mila Zaccanini, 13th, 28:47, Kassidy Jackson, 16th, 31:49, Ashley Zosky, 17th, 31:50, Dolly Kromer, 19th, 39:19 rounded out the field for their team. Brownsville improved to 9-0 in section play and 14-0 overall.

Cameron Kromer was fourth in the boys’ race at 20:10. Teammate Alec Lima was 10th at 21:02 and Jayden Wall was 14th for the Falcons at 22:10. Brownsville’s Vince Fisher was 15th with a time of 22:18.

Jensen DeCarlo, 16th, 23:07, Hunter Drennonn, 17th, 23:44, 18th, Jaden Harvey, 18th, 24:10, Brian Boyd, 22nd, 25:29 rounded out the field for Brownsville (6-10).

Both teams compete against West Greene with a time and date to be determined.
