Fight reported
State police said a man hit a passing vehicle when he opened his car door as he was parked in the 200 block of Main Street, June 23. Two people in the car screamed at the woman and threatened her. Police arrived and determined the man was driving under the influence with an underage person who was also under the influence. Police did not release the names of those involved.

Burglary reported
State police said Fayette Rental Solution was burglarized Aug. 5 at 1:30 a.m. Six chop saws and four Dolmar chain saws were reported stolen.

Truck into creek
Anthony Ray Pierce, 33, of West Brownsville was charged with DUI after he allegedly drove a Dodge Ram into Filbert pond along Filbert-Orient Road Aug. 11 and fled on foot, leaving the truck submerged. Police said he admitted to drinking multiple beers and shots. He told police he was on house arrest for DUI and his license is suspended for DUI.

Man charged
Martel A. Petruzzi, 23, of Belle Vernon was charged for allegedly firing a shot from the laundry room of his Naomi Road residence through an open door leading outside. His wife and a child were in the home when he allegedly fired the shot at about 11:40 p.m. Monday. He was later arrested for DUI on his motorcycle, according to court documents. He also allegedly smashed a window on his mother-in-law’s vehicle. Police said he crashed his motorcycle multiple times before the incident.

DUI checkpoint
State police in Greensburg will be performing sobriety checkpoints on Labor Day weekend. Roving and mobile enforcement details will be ongoing throughout the month of September, police said.
