The Jefferson-Morgan girls broke a close game open in the third quarter for a 33-29 victory over First Baptist Saturday in the second day of the Northgate/Sto-Rox Tip-Off Tournament.

The game was tied at 10 after the first quarter and First Baptist led at half, 19-17. The Lady Rockets pulled ahead at the end of the third quarter, 14-7.

First Baptist held a slight 3-2 edge in the final eight minutes.

Katey Wolfe led the Lady Rockets (1-1) with 13 points. Krista McCartney added 11, including three 3-pointers.

First Baptist’s Michaella Roth scored a game-high 17 points.
