Clairton defeats Lady Rockets, 39-25

The Jefferson-Morgan girls had a run in the second quarter Wednesday night, but Clairton controlled the other three quarters for a 39-25 non-section home victory.

Clairton led 11-5 after the first quarter, but the Lady Rockets (1-3) cut into the lead with a 6-4 second quarter. The Lady Bears (2-2) controlled the second half with a 24-14 advantage.

Krista McCartney led Jefferson-Morgan with 16 points. Savannah Saeson grabbed nine rebounds.

Ionna Chapman scored 12 and Evanti Gibson added 10 for Clairton.
