Teen assaulted two girls
Connellsville police said a 17-year-old boy assaulted two at Highlands Hospital. The first alleged victim told police he lured her into his room March 30, choked her and attempted to pull her back into the room and continue choking her after she broke free. Police said she was treated for “numerous” injuries. The second alleged victim reported he waited for her outside the bathroom Nov. 25, grabbed her by the throat and choked her.

Teen charged in hit and run
Ian Murphy, 18, of Connellsville was charged with three counts of accidents involving injury after he allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Crawford Avenue and Pittsburgh Street and fled the scene on foot with four people at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. He later admitted he was the driver and did not have a driver’s license, police said. Two people in the second vehicle were treated for injuries at Highlands Hospital and released. A 15-year-old and 16-year-old boy who fled the accident were cited with curfew violations and released to their parents. Both vehicles had heavy front-end damage, police said.

Assault at Adelphoi Village
An employee at Adelphoi Village was assaulted by a 16-year-old girl Dec. 10, causing injuries that required the employee to be treated at Frick Hospital in Pittsburgh, police said. The teen was charged in juvenile court with aggravated assault, according to Connellsville police.

Harassment alleged
Connellsville police cited Danielle Standovich, 23, of Rices Landing with harassment after he allegedly sent 75 to 100 text messages to a Connellsville woman, calling her vulgar names.

Credit card stolen
Cathy Kumor, 68, of Connellsville reported a man and woman she did not know distracted her while she was shopping at Marshalls between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Dec. 8. She discovered her debit card was missing when she tried to pay. About $1,500 in fraudulent purchases were reported.

Illegal gun
State police charged a 24-year-old man with several drug violations and illegal possession of a firearm for an alleged incident near 107 Bair Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 11.

Underage drinking at school
State police said a 15-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy were found with alcohol at Central Westmoreland Career & Technology Center Thursday morning, and the boy drank it.

Two-vehicle crash
State police said Molly A. Gauden, 22, of Belle Vernon hit a vehicle driven by Charles W. Chistopher, 61, of McClellandtown at about 8:10 a.m. Dec. 13 on the off-ramp from State Route 119 north to State Route 51. Police said Christopher was stopped and preparing to turn left onto State Route 51 when Gauden rear-ended him. No injuries were reported.

DUI crash into house
State police charged Justin Jud Rodeheaver, 29, of Farmington for DUI after he allegedly backed into a house at 186 Hopwood Fairchance Road while backing down the road at about 10 p.m. Nov. 24.
