Terroristic threats

Jason Stasicha, 21, of Charleroi is facing terroristic threats and other charges for an alleged incident on 4th Street.

Retail theft

State police said a white man stole $1.89 worth of merchandise from Honey Bear Mini Mart on Memorial Boulevard May 14 and fled in a gold Pontiac Aztec with a driver’s side door of a different color.

Drug possession charged

Carroll Township police charged Shamika Monique Rawlins-Wilson, 35, of Monessen, with possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident at Monongahela Valley Hospital Monday around 7:15 p.m. Rawlins-Wilson allegedly was in possession of three stamp bags containing suspected heroin.

Woman charged

Karen Tatar, 53, of Charleroi was charged with access device fraud and receiving stolen property for an alleged incident on 3rd Street Dec. 30.

Stolen Christmas lights

A resident reported to police that someone stole Christmas lights from outside their residence on 4th Street on Nov. 29.

Drugs found

Monessen police arrested one man and cited another on drug-related charges following a traffic stop Thursday at 2:35 a.m. The driver, Percy Lee Majors, 52, of Monessen, was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger in his vehicle, Frederick Foster II, 40, of Monessen, was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Warrants served

A woman wanted on warrants by Monessen was picked up Tuesday by Charleroi police and transported to the Monessen police station. Taylor Rajeen Harrison, 25, who is listed as being homeless, was wanted in Monessen on a bench warrant and two arrest warrants. She was also wanted on an arrest warrant out of Rostraver Township as well.

Man turns self in

A man wanted on a warrant in Monessen voluntarily turned himself in Tuesday. Percy Alonzo David, 47, of Monessen, was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.

Suspicious activity

Monessen police cited Daniel Joseph Hamay of Monessen with loitering and prowling at night after receiving a report that he was walking around houses on Balazia around 11:45 p.m. Dec. 26.

Unwanted person removed

Monessen police were called to a residence on Boyd St. Dec. 25 around 4 a.m. for an unwanted person. Police found Michael Stens of Westminster, Colorado in the basement of the house where he had been living, but had been told to vacate. Stens became combative when police said they would accompany him to the basement and he was cited for disorderly conduct. Marijuana plants found in the basement were destroyed.

Assault reported

Monessen police charged Joseph C. Douglas, 39, of Belle Vernon, with simple assault after he allegedly hit a 19-year-old man in the face during an argument at a home on Manown Street in Monessen Dec. 23 at 11:14 p.m.

Charged for DUI

Police said a 42-year-old Mount Pleasant man was taken into custody for an alleged DUI after committing multiple traffic violations while operating a vehicle on Nov. 25 near North Center Ave.

Theft from a motor vehicle

Police are investigating a reported theft from a vehicle on State Route 819 North where an alleged suspect removed several credit cards from a vehicle and used them at various locations from Dec. 6 – Dec. 19. This incident is thought to be connected to a known criminal pattern according to the police report.

Multiple thefts from motor vehicle

Police said four residents reported someone broke into their vehicles and stole multiple items including one vehicle belonging to one of the residents on Maple Street on Dec. 15.

Theft from a motor vehicle

Police said a resident reported someone stole multiple items from their vehicle on Maruca Drive on Dec. 14.

Reported burglary 

According to police a resident reported their home was burglarized and stolen was two portable CD players, DVD’s, four gold rope chain necklaces with gold crosses and a gold Albert Gallatin class of 1976 ring from their residence on Broadway Street Dec. 5. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Uniontown State Police at 724-439-7111.

Theft reported

Jermaine Lawson, 36, of Uniontown was charged for allegedly stealing from Golden Corral Dec. 28.
