President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly crafting plans to restructure the CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as he publicly battles with the U.S. intelligence community over its conclusion that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. What do you think of those plans? Is it time for an overhaul or do you think it’s too dangerous?
“Maybe he can replace them with the KGB?”
“Trump restructuring an intelligence agency would be like hiring Helen Keller as your interior decorator.”
“I do think that arrogant Clapper needs to go. He was very difficult when called before Congress and questioned concerning intelligence gathering.”
“Why is everyone so paranoid about Russia? Democrats were always trying to befriend them back in the day.”
“Move to Russia. You speak like a traitor would. We don’t need people like you in our country.”
“Still upset because Hillary lost?”
“I know you enjoy seeing your posts in the Herald- Standard. Get over it. Trump will be around for eight years. Kick back, drink a soda and enjoy life.”
“You just can’t see the forest for the trees. Move to Russia. I’m sure they’ll call you comrade!”
“I’m just gonna sit back, eat popcorn and watch the show.”
“I’m just going to sit back and watch the Trump haters reap the benefits of his back-to-back terms and then still badmouth him.”
“The CIA needs to stick to gathering intelligence and stop doing things like toppling foreign governments, supporting terrorists and drug lords, etc. Somehow I doubt those kind of reforms are what Trump has in mind.”
“He is doing it because he can’t stand people who think differently than him. He wants everyone to agree with him. That’s called a dictatorship. It’s definitely not a democracy.”
“Trump will dismantle our intelligence agencies per instructions from Putin. You can definitely count on that to happen.”
