Audition days slated
The Waynesburg University Fine Arts Department will hold audition days for admittance into the university’s music program and for music scholarships from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 28 and Feb. 18 in the Marsh Center below Roberts Chapel.
Any high school student wishing to enter the music program must apply to the university and audition for admittance. Prospective students may also schedule an audition on any visitation day hosted by the university’s admissions office throughout the year.

Black History Month events
California University of Pennsylvania will hold events in February to celebrate Black History Month. The theme for this year is “Struggle, Strength, Resilience, Triumph.” All members of the campus community are encouraged to take part in the events, which are free and open to the public. Athletic recruitment scheduled
Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will hold an athletic recruitment event for students interested in playing a team sport at the college at 4 p.m. Feb. 4 in the campus Community Center.
Attendees will meet current players and coaches, receive admissions information and watch the men’s and women’s basketball teams take on Penn State Beaver.

Early childhood fair set
Jefferson-Morgan School District will hold its annual early childhood fair from 9 a.m. to noon March 18 at the Jefferson-Morgan Elementary School gymnasium/cafeteria. Parents residing in the district who have children age 5 and below are strongly encouraged to attend. The registration process for pre-K and kindergarten enrollment will begin that day. District administration, teachers and child care agencies will be on hand to answer questions.
