Grace Chambers Applause
The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce recently honored Grace Chambers, of Uniontown, a junior at Laurel Highlands High School, as a student of the month for December.
A daughter of Todd and Marissa Chambers, she is undecided about the post-secondary school she will attend, but intends to study physical therapy with the career goal of becoming a physical therapist.
Chambers is active in the extracurricular activities at Laurel Highlands, including soccer, track and Junior Achievement.
Her other honors include being captain of the varsity soccer team and receiving the Academic Excellence and Athletic Achievement Award for Soccer.
She is employed at Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Resort and Spa.
Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and citizenship, students of the month are honored by the chamber’s Education Council and will be presented a recognition certificate at the students of the month dinner in April.
The sponsors for the Laurel Highlands Students of the Month, first semester, are Robert and Marilyn Garbart.
