Bailey Turner Applause
The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce recently honored Bailey Turner, of McClellandtown, a junior at Albert Gallatin High School, as a student of the month for December.
A daughter of Jeri Ann and Michael Turner, she is undecided about the post-secondary school she will attend, but plans to have a dual major in business and psychology with the career goal of being a lawyer or a psychologist.
Turner is active in the extracurricular activities at Albert Gallatin, including drama club, The Future is Mine, Future Business Leaders of America, the debate team, National Honor Society and is drum major for the band.
Her community involvement includes being a member of the Morgantown Ballet Company and a member of and acolyte for the McClellandtown Presbyterian Church.
Turner’s other awards include being Albert Gallatin’s representative at the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar, a member of the Penn State 4.0 Club and an attendee at Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week.
Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and citizenship, students of the month are honored by the chamber’s Education Council and will be presented a recognition certificate at the students of the month dinner in April.
The sponsor for the Albert Gallatin Students of the Month, second semester, is Pento Home Care Agency, Inc.
