New York men arrested on drug charges in Uniontown
Two men from New York were arrested after they were allegedly found with drugs in a Uniontown home.
State police executed a search warrant at 319 Evans St. just after 6 a.m. Friday and allegedly found Anthony Spells, 37, and Kendell Nation, 37, with 16 grams of heroin, 25 grams of crack cocaine, eight grams of powder cocaine, $4,000, several cell phone, digital scales, an IPad connected to surveillance equipment and assorted drug paraphernalia, police said.
Both men were charged with two counts of conspiracy to delivery narcotics, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to deliver, one count of dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, three counts of possession of narcotics and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Wendy Dennis and committed to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Court records indicate Nation is from Wilkes-Barre and Spells is from Uniontown, but police said both were from the Queens area in New York City.
State police from the Special Emergency Response Team, Troop B Vice Unit, the Uniontown station and K-9 unit executed a search warrant.
