UNIONTOWN – Uniontown Hospital announced a new fleet of wheelchairs are in use to better serve the needs of patients & visitors. The hospital deployed more than 300 new wheelchairs, allowing for ease of access for patients in need of assistance. CEO Steve Handy said that the chairs are one piece of a larger plan to upgrade the entire hospital campus & continue to invest in the services the community depends on. An additioanl cache of chairs will be provided to the Main Entrance to assist patients & visitors. The ‘car to curb’ shuttle service will operate daily, Mon-Fri, 8-5pm.
