Man charged with assaulting teen
A warrant was issued for Denzell Darshai Johnson, 19, of Donora for allegedly choking and kicking a 16-year-old girl in her Cleveland Avenue residence Monday afternoon. Police allege he picked her up by the neck and threw her to the ground, then kicked her in the stomach. Police said she had red marks on her neck and swelling to her stomach. He then fled the scene, according to city police. Uniontown police said Johnson has two felony warrants for stealing a firearm, felon not to possess a firearm, unlicensed carry of a firearm and criminal trespass. He was charged with strangulation and simple assault in the new case.

Man charged
Uniontown police charged Harry Robert Neil Jr., 43, of Uniontown Monday for allegedly flipping a table during a preliminary hearing at the office of Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros May 30. Uniontown police said he refused multiple commands from Officer Jamie Holland to exit the courtroom and braced himself against the door of the holding cell, causing minor injury to the officer’s hands. Neil allegedly shouted “I should have broke your nose while in these cuffs.” He is charged with misdemeanor counts of disrupting a meeting, obstructing administration of law, simple assault and disorderly conduct.
