Sarena Dobbs Applause

Brownsville Rotary Club recently honored Sarena Dobbs as its October student of the month.

A daughter of Adam and Tessarey Foster, Dobbs, 17, is a senior at Brownsville Area High School and is enrolled in several honors and advanced placement classes.

Dobbs served as her junior class president and now serves as the National Honor Society vice president and French Honor Society president. She is also involved in book club and art club.

Dobbs was recognized at Seton Hill University for excelling in chemistry at the university’s annual Women in Science Day. She represented her freshmen class as an attendee on Brownsville’s homecoming court.

Outside of school, Dobbs enjoys volunteering at the First Church of Nazarene where she aids in the arts and crafts on Sundays for the children. She plans on attending this winter and next summer to help the church with any other activities they have planned.

Dobbs plans to attend West Virginia University to become a pediatric surgeon.
